Cat Quilt & Coffee Quilt

I quilted this bed-size cat quilt for Christine.  She asked me to stitch in the details of the cats.

 I used contrasting thread for the face, whiskers, legs.  (Click on photo)

And if you look closely, there are mice running up and down the sashing.

 

This quilt was pieced by Joan and she said it was her coffee quilt.  So I naturally quilted coffee cups on it!  I love all the neutrals.  She also used different blocks in each alternate row - like a sampler.

Here are some quilts I've been quilting for customers.  Baby Quilts - Marge found a clever way to use her buck-a-blocks.  (Made from Thangles).  Great monster fabric!

Pam went on a bus trip and won the "Ugly Fat Quarter" prize -- which meant getting all the ugly fat quarters!  She made this quilt out of them.  I don't remember which fabric was voted the ugliest, but they all look good now.

Here are some nice quilts I've seen at guild.

 This was made by JoAnn Jefferies.  She made it for a gift for someone who lives in Colorado.  I loved the block - the border - the colors.  It looked great!

 The next two were made by Lynn Poulos for her new grandchildren, twins!  She made two of each quilt.

 This is a snails-tail block - so clever!  She said the pattern was in a magazine.

 Marianne Murphy made this table topper from left over American Jane fabrics.  She used her mother's old table cloth for the backing and didn't use batting.  It's very thin and drapes perfectly.  Love that idea!

American Jane founder, Sandy Klop visited our guild in September.  I like her patterns and books.  I had my camera all ready but it ran out of battery after a couple pictures.  She gave a trunk show and told the story of how she wanted to be a fabric designer and her journey to become one.  It was very interesting - Sandy is a very motivated woman!  She designed for Moda.  Many of her designs feather children, scenes with children.

Stars

This quilt of stars was pieced by Karen P.  She said it was paper-pieced, a Judy Niemeyer pattern.  The colors are cool - greens, blues and purple batiks.

I qulted an arc around the star shapes.  There were some odd-shaped areas, which I stippled.  The border was SID and then echoed. 

 

 I quilted a pattern in the center of each circle.  The arcs match the arc going around the spikes.

Janice P. made this with strips!  It looks complicated but she says it isn't!  I quilted a flower pattern.

T-Shirt Quilt by Linda C.   I really like this setting from the book: You Did What With My T-Shirts?  Linda added more patches on the corner stones.  I liked it so much, I used the same setting for my niece's t-shirt quilt.

My neice Rachael's T-Shirt Quilt:

Sue S. made this lovely block sampler quilt.  All the blocks are so pretty - have to find out where she got this pattern.  Very floral and feminine.  Quilted with feathers - edge to edge.  

And I finally finished a mini-quilt so I can use my new mini quilt hanger.
