Black & White

What is black and white and has diamonds all over?  Marcia's quilt!  She used a special ruler to make the blocks:  The X-block ruler  http://www.x-blocks.com/X-Blocks.html   NO 60-degree piecing - it's so easy and super fast.  Very graphic and modern! 

 

The borders are made from the "left-overs" after she cut the blocks!

I quilted an edge-to-edge with circles, grey thread.  The white backing shows the quilting pattern.

Black and White Quilt

A simple black and white quilt is fun and sophisticated with a floral border! This one was pieced by my customer Beth H. She made it for her daughter. It is quilted with swirls and flowers in the black border. There are some bumble bees and dragon flies quilted in too.
